The Iowa Section of the Institute of Food Technologists is the regional section for all IFT members located in Iowa zip codes. We are a local community of food industry professionals, academics and students who come together to network and continually learn and share the science of food. We believe in encouraging students pursuing food science education.
The Iowa Section typically meets 4 times a year: February, April, September and November (Student Night) in various locations around the state. Meetings often include a tour of a food processing facility followed by a social hour, dinner and brief business meeting.
