Iowa Section IFT

It’s almost the 4th of July and corn is higher than knee-high in Iowa. While the Section doesn’t typically have formal meetings over the summer, we are busy behind the scenes. We have an upcoming Transition meeting to prepare our new leaders, executively plan and say a long goodbye and thank you to our outgoing leaders. Our new leaders will formally come on board in August/September. IFT FIRST 2025 is also approaching in mid-July. Look for more news about a co-Iowa State Food Science/Iowa Section IFT mixer during FIRST in Chicago. Until then, try to stay cool and avoid the rain and corn sweat. Summer is a great time for learning and trying new things: take some time and read an article or taste a new flavor of ice cream. Make your summer sweet.
